# Use Cyphrex with your AI

The MCP server is https://mcp.cyphrex.io/mcp. Send your own API key as `Authorization: Bearer ${CYPHREX_API_KEY}`. Do not put the key in tool arguments, chat, or git.

Accounts come only from a paid plan or the free 2-week trial on [Plans](/plans). The trial ends with a day-14 risk report. There is no open sign-up.

## Cursor

Install the Cyphrex Cursor plugin from https://github.com/getcyphrex/cyphrex-cursor-plugin. Then open Plugins, Configure, and set `CYPHREX_API_KEY`. The plugin sends that value as the Bearer token.

Plain `~/.cursor/mcp.json`, if you are not using the plugin:

```json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "cyphrex": {
      "url": "https://mcp.cyphrex.io/mcp",
      "headers": {
        "Authorization": "Bearer ${CYPHREX_API_KEY}"
      }
    }
  }
}
```

## Claude

Claude Desktop and Claude Code use the same `mcpServers` entry:

```json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "cyphrex": {
      "url": "https://mcp.cyphrex.io/mcp",
      "headers": {
        "Authorization": "Bearer ${CYPHREX_API_KEY}"
      }
    }
  }
}
```

## ChatGPT

Add a custom MCP connector. Server URL: `https://mcp.cyphrex.io/mcp`. Header: `Authorization: Bearer ${CYPHREX_API_KEY}`.

## Tools

- `register_agent` with a name, a type, and a description. It returns a Cyphrex agent id.
- `check_action` with that agent id and an action object that has a `type`. Stop when `allowed` is not true.
- `get_audit_log` with the agent id and an optional limit.
